After recalling the inventive methods used in the design analysis procedure of hydrostatic power splitting transmissions, theoretical and experimental application examples are presented. More particulars are detailed: (1) determining elements and tests results of a 230-Kw experimental transmission that can be applied to road and off-road propulsion. (2) design analysis procedure and prediction of a large ratio coverage transmission appropriate to light vehicles such as automotive cars. Conclusions are drawn as regards the future prospects of these transmissions.
