Abstract

Summaries of the work which has been done by and for the Philadelphia Electric Company in ascertaining the degree of graphitization in the piping system in the Chester, Schuylkill, and Richmond Stations since the fall of 1946, are reported in this paper. The results of a fullsize pipe tension test on a graphitized weld section are reported. Solution treatment for removal of graphitization is described with some physical test results.
